Plant Design That Works in Real Spaces
We teach you how to choose, position, and maintain indoor plants so they actually thrive. No guesswork, just clear methods for creating living arrangements that fit your light conditions and schedule.
How do plants actually fit into daily routines?
Most people struggle because they treat plant care like decoration. We focus on understanding growth patterns, light requirements, and watering rhythms. Each session builds practical skills through hands-on exercises with real plants in typical home and office environments.
Light Assessment
Learn to measure actual light levels in different rooms and match plants to those conditions. We use simple tools and observation techniques that work without expensive equipment.
Watering Systems
Develop a reliable watering schedule based on soil type, pot material, and seasonal changes. You'll understand why some plants need daily attention while others prefer neglect.
Arrangement Principles
Practice grouping plants by height, texture, and care needs to create visual interest without overwhelming your space. We work with common containers and accessible species.
Problem Diagnosis
Recognize early signs of common issues like root rot, pest infestation, or nutrient deficiency. We teach you what to look for and how to respond before problems become serious.
What happens during a typical workshop?
Each session runs for three hours and combines demonstration, guided practice, and individual consultation. You work with actual plants and materials, not just theory slides.
Environment Analysis
We start by evaluating your specific space—whether home office, living room, or commercial setting. You'll measure light levels, assess humidity, and identify potential challenges before selecting any plants.
Species Selection
Learn which plants actually tolerate your conditions. We cover growth rates, mature sizes, and realistic maintenance requirements so you choose species you can sustain long-term.
Hands-On Planting
Practice proper potting techniques with different soil mixes and container types. You'll repot at least two plants during the session and understand drainage, root space, and soil composition.
Care Protocol
Develop a weekly routine tailored to your schedule. We map out specific tasks—checking soil moisture, rotating pots, removing dead leaves—and build them into your existing habits.
Troubleshooting Practice
Work through real case studies of struggling plants. You'll diagnose issues from photos and physical samples, then apply corrective measures like adjusting water frequency or relocating to better light.
Follow-Up Plan
Leave with a written care schedule and resource list. We provide soil sources, container suppliers, and plant nurseries specific to your region, plus contact details for ongoing questions.
Workshop Outcomes
These numbers reflect participant results from our 2024 sessions. Success depends on applying techniques consistently after the workshop ends.
Kaspar Villem
Workshop Facilitator
Who teaches these workshops?
Kaspar has spent eight years managing plant installations for offices and residential projects across Tallinn. He started davidparkinbass in 2023 after clients kept asking for training instead of just maintenance contracts. His approach focuses on what actually works in Estonian climate conditions with typical indoor environments.
Before teaching, he worked at three commercial nurseries and completed horticultural certification. He's not interested in exotic collections or competition-level cultivation—just reliable methods for people who want living plants without constant stress.
- Managed over 200 corporate plant installations
- Developed care protocols for 40+ common indoor species
- Trained facility managers at 15 office buildings
- Consulted on lighting retrofits for plant-friendly workspaces
